the name for the plan under the predecessor of Chapter 13 in the Bankruptcy Act. The term is obsolete but is still sometimes used to describe a Chapter 13 plan.
Wage garnishment
A nonbankruptcy legal proceeding whereby a plaintiff or creditor seeks to subject to his or her claim the future wages of a debtor. In other words, the creditor seeks to have part of the debtor's future wages paid to the creditor for a debt owed to the creditor.

A wage order is a court order which is sent to your employer directing a payroll deduction be remitted from your wages to the trustee. It is similar to a garnishment.

A workout may occur outside of bankruptcy, resulting in a composition and extension, or it may take place in the process of formulating a plan in a bankruptcy case.
Writ
a written order issued pursuant to court authority, requiring the sheriff or some other official to perform an act, such as the levy of execution.
Writ of certiorari
An order issued by the U.S. Supreme Court directing the lower court to transmit records for a case which it will hear on appeal.
